THT, the science of lactic ferments

THT and le Centre Wallon de Biologie Industrielle THT was created in 1991. The company is one of the first spin-offs of the research carried out at the Centre Wallon de Biologie Industrielle (CWBI), an industrial biology research institute created in Belgium in 1988 by:
the Bio-industries Unit of Gembloux Agricultural College (Faculté Universitaire des Sciences Agronomiques de Gembloux - FUSAGx, Belgium), and the Microbial Technology Department of Liege University (Université de Liège - ULg, Belgium).
A high-level know-how THT thus draws upon the scientific expertise and high-level know-how of its highly qualified staff of university professors, PhDs, engineers, etc. What is more, THT can rely on the support of the seventy or so researchers working at the CWBI. This is a sizeable advantage.
THT 's Mission Today, THT's main mission continues to be to build upon university research, through its powerful functional ties with FUSAGx and ULg. THT is thus, in his application lab, focusing on client-based research that is attuned to market needs. In entrusting us with their orders, our clients benefit constantly from the most advanced knowledge in the sector and our considerable experience in the field.
A strong shareholding In 2000 the Puratos Group joined THT's shareholders via its subsidiary BELDEM Food Ingredients. This has opened up the doors of international distribution to THT's products.
